Army: We Are Determined to Uproot the Roots of Extremism and Terrorism and Protect Citizens’ Security

Al-Taj News – The Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army, on Monday, affirmed their determination to continue uprooting the roots of extremism and terrorism, and to stand vigilant against anyone who dares to threaten the security of citizens, stressing the continuation of their duty to protect the homeland and citizens and preserve its holy sites.

The Armed Forces’ affirmation came following the Royal Jordanian Air Force’s falcons carrying out a special operation on Monday targeting the hideouts of terrorist groups in southern Syria, named “Jordanian Deterrence – Hamoud.”

The Armed Forces explained that the operation came in revenge for the martyrs of the terrorist attack that took place during funeral proceedings at Hamoud Church in Karak Governorate last Friday, noting the links between the terrorists who carried out the attack and these terrorist groups.

They indicated that Royal Air Force fighter jets destroyed a number of sites belonging to terrorist groups in southern Syria, and the operation resulted in the killing and wounding of many of their members, in addition to the destruction of a number of their vehicles.

The Armed Forces stressed that they are continuing to perform their sacred duty to protect the homeland and citizens and preserve its holy sites, affirming the continuation of their efforts to confront extremism and terrorism.
